Trout Project 2025

We were delighted to again take part in The Tweed Foundations Trout Project this year.  Year 4 had their own class tank and trout eggs arrived and the class all took turns to observe and look after them hoping they will be the first to see the alevin hatch.  Each week Ben McCallum from the Foundation taught the class something new about the river.  At the end of the project the class had the chance to say goodbye to their baby trout. Each child said a few kind words to wish the trout well on the next stage of their journey.
