Headteacher's Message

Welcome to Holy Trinity Church of England First School

I am very pleased to welcome you to our amazing school!  I am very proud to be the Headteacher of this community, assisted by a highly skilled and dedicated team of teachers and support staff who, along with the school’s governing body, are relentless in our drive for securing school improvement and improving life chances for all of our children.

At Holy Trinity, we have high expectations of one another and of the children themselves.  We strive for all of our children to leave school as, ‘inquisitive thinkers,’ keen to learn, ask questions and have a will to find out more.

We aspire to instil a desire to achieve despite any adversity, to be ‘challenge seekers,’ who accept challenge as part of learning and say, ‘bring it on’ whenever times get tough!

As a Church School we serve our local community, church and non-church goers alike. We believe that every adult and child is precious no matter what race, sex, creed, religion, social background, physical or intellectual achievement.  We treat each other with, ‘kind hearts,’ and actively help each other so that our community provides support and learns together.

We design our curriculum creatively to motivate and engage our children.  We offer experiences for our pupils to live out our school vision within their daily lives.

The education of your child is a shared responsibility; it is a partnership in which the school builds upon the learning experience gained at home, and the home supports the learning that takes place in school.  When your child starts school, it is not where your job ends and ours begins, but where our job together starts to continue to unlock your child’s full potential.

All staff at Holy Trinity care greatly about our children. We know them and treat them as individuals.  We are very proud of all of our children and we celebrate all of their varied achievements.

We hope our website provides you with a window into life at our school.  Please remember that you are always welcome to arrange a visit to see the children and staff in action first hand.  In doing so, you could find out for yourself what makes Holy Trinity such a unique and special place for every one in our school community.

We look forward to meeting you soon.
